Local Historic District Designations

As part of our mission to help preserve the Yalecrest neighborhood, K.E.E.P. Yalecrest is providing guidance for homeowners who wish to protect their area of the larger neighborhood through a local historic district (LHD) designation. This is the only way to prevent demolition of our historic homes.

Yalecrest – Harvard Park (Harvard Avenue 1700-1800 East) was the first subdivision to be submitted by Harvard Avenue homeowner Kelly Marinan. It was approved by the Salt Lake City Council Nov. 25, 2014 as the first LHD in Yalecrest.

The next three were designated Feb. 4, 2015:

  • Yalecrest – Princeton Park (Princeton Avenue 1700-1800 East)
  • Yalecrest – Normandie Circle (Normandie Circle and corners homes on Harvard Avenue)
  • Yalecrest – Yale Park Plat A and Upper Harvard (Harvard Avenue 1500-1700 East)

Our newest LHD is Yalecrest – Harvard Heights (Harvard Avenue 1300-1500 East), established in July 2016.
